Dr. Richard R. Schmidt began his tenure as Union Grove Baptist Church's Senior Pastor after 39 years of Christian service. Dr. Schmidt's work for the Lord has included church planting, 20 years as an associate pastor, church administration, as well as traveling both nationally and internationally with Prophecy Focus Ministries.  Prophecy Focus Ministries was founded by Dr. Schmidt, a biblically sound prophetic teaching forum.  He can be heard frequently on "The Word for Life" through WVCY, as well as seen on his program, Prophecy Focus TV 30.  He served bi-vocationally for 30 years, with his public service culminating as acting Sheriff of Milwaukee County.  He and his wife Valori have served faithfully together for over 40 years.  Their three adult children live in Wisconsin along with their spouses.  Dr. Schmidt has a Ph.D. from Louisiana Baptist University along with a D.Min. from Northland University, and continues to study diligently as instructed by 2 Timothy 2:15-studying to show himself approved unto God, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” -Jeremiah 29:11

Union Grove Baptist Church believes the Lord instituted Matthew 28:18-to go into the world and teach all nations... We are all instructed to tell others about the saving grace found in faith alone, through Christ alone. Romans 3:23: For all have sinned and fallen short-We are all sinners, every single one of us Romans 6:23:The wages of sin is death...this is eternal death in an awful (real) place called hell. The GOOD News: Romans 5:8: But God commendeth (gave) His love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us-We cannot save ourselves, we are wholly dependent on Jesus Christ Who came to earth, lived a perfect life, and died as the substitutionary Lamb, and rose on the third day as victor over sin and death. Romans 10:13: Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord will be saved-That's our only responsibility. Believe. Ephesians 2:8-9: For by grace you have been saved through faith, it is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, so that noone can boast. John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. If you are seeking or have questions, please call the Church Office or Pastor Rich. (262) 878-1264. Let today be the day!
  • Discipleship
Discipleship is next in our hearts. Discipleship is not as familiar a word today. Disciples are people who follow the teachings and practices of someone else. You and I are disciples of some philosophy or another, whether we realize it or not. We choose our answers for life’s toughest challenges based upon who we are listening to and who we want to believe has the best answer. For Union Grove Baptist Church, we want to help one another understand that God’s way is the best way and that His Word, the Bible, truly has all the answers for life we will ever need. Our worship of Him as our God leads us to love Him and want to follow the principles He gives us for living a meaningful and productive life.
  • Fellowship
Fellowship flows out of sincere discipleship. Church is a community. It is a family. It is a group of people that love the same objectives and seek to pursue the same goals. Because of our mutual love for Christ, we love what Christ loves – one another and the people around us. We are not perfect, but in the end, what makes Union Grove Baptist Church a unique place is the people who love spending time with each other, helping one another reach and influence our community
  • Worship
Worship is our starting point. We want to teach and practice a worship of God that is not about being louder or being in a contest for a visual arts award. We want you to know Who we adore. We worship the Creator God, the Eternal God, the Only God.
